My daughter gave me these adorable stamps for Mother's Day! I just love these! I made this card for a co-worker for her birthday. She has two adorable blonde children - a boy and a girl, and next week she heads to the beach for a must-deserved vacation!

I staggered the kids a bit to make the girl look older and taller and "planted" them in the sand. I used my Copic markers to color them. I used a stippling brush to put a glow behind the sun, and put a golden rhinestone for the center. I lined the shells with a glitter pen to give it more pop and framed the picture with blue and yellow papers. I hope she likes it!

Here Comes the Rain

I used this little Tilda for one of my "raining" cards. I thought it was perfect for April rain. I layered Tilda on patterned paper and added the little "pull-along duckie" and added the flower with the rhinestone center. I used Copic markers to color her. I think the circles on the patterned paper resemble rain drops.

This Tilda was actually an image that someone sent me and I really like it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I want to wish all you mothers out there a very happy Mother's Day! I loved every minute of raising my kids and now that they're grown, I miss it! All you mother's of little children, treasure this time with your children -- they grow much too fast!

I made this card for a very special grandmother and greatgrandmother! (not mine) She's a remarkable woman with more stamina than women half her age, and a sunny disposition and ready smile!

This is my very first attempt at using flower soft, and I'm happy with how it turned out. I tried to get a "Victorian" look for this card, so I used the flowered background, which I scalloped, added a layer of pink textured paper, which I also scalloped, added the white lace ribbon for more "Victorian" charm, and embellished it with three pink rhinesones for a little "bling." I hope she likes it!

I made this card for my Godmother. She's a very special aunt to me. When I was little, she lived on the next street and we were together all the time. She's my mother's sister and they were very close. She has two sons of her own, but not a daughter. Now she has 2 beautiful granddaughters!

I recently had the opportunity to see her, which I hadn't in a long time since she lives several hours away. She's still the happy, smiling lady I remember. Happy Mother's day Aunt Agnes! Hope you like the card!

I actually made this birthday card for a gal at work, but then changed my mind and gave her a different one, but I really like this one. Anya has freckles and a "flower soft" garland in her hair. She was colored with copics. I hope you like her.

I made this card for my granddaughter for her birthday. It's from "Inky Antics," and I think it's just adorable! I colored it in with copic markers and used festive papers. The icing on the cake and the letters in Happy Birthday are colored in with a spica pen in clear glitter. There's even a little froggy!

I made this card for a "raining card." It's Edwin with champagne and glasses ready to celebrate New Year's Eve!

The black background paper has a sparkle design. I used copic markers to color in Edwin, framed him in red, with red ribbon embellishment. Stamped "Celebrate", cut out with a circle punch, and then framed that in red scallop.

Hope you like him.

I fell just before Christmas and broke my foot and fractured my wrist and was unable to craft for a while. Well, I'm back and having fun!

I made this adorable card with one of the stamps my daughter gave me for Christmas. It's a "Gingersnap" stamp from the "Snow Bunny" collection. I think she's absolutely adorable! I used Copic markers to color her.

I'm so excited! Meredith has nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award! Now you might say she's prejudice since she's my sweet daughter, but I'm as "proud as punch"! Getting Ready for Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great and blessed Thanksgiving! It was a wonderful holiday, full of family, good food, and fun! Saturday, we decorated the Christmas Tree.

I made this little Tilda and colored her with Copics, and her Merry Christmas sign is colored with Spica glitter pens. The little finding holding the ribbon is from Stampin' Up, as is the real red cardstock.

Hope you like her and puts you in the Christmas spirit -- I know I am!

Celebrate the Season

I created this card for my second Magnolia vs. Stampavie Challenge. I used Copic markers to color Tilda using R37, then mounted her on Stampin' Up's real red cardstock. I crimped Stampin' Up's cherry paper, and used Stampin' Up's "candy cane" ribbon which I threaded through the red cardstock. I then used a lace punch on white cardstock and added it to one side of the red cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in "bordering blue" ink, which I stamped twice, cute the inner circle out of the second set and used dimensionals to give the sentiment more texture. I embellished the card with silver dimensional snowflakes, and three rhinestones. Hope you like her! This was a fun challenge.

Fall Faerie

I created this fall card using an adorable stamp by Faerie Song Art. I think she's just adorable sitting on her little mushroom! I used copic markers in E00, E21, and R20 for her skin, a blend of Y06, Y15, and Y17 for her hair, YG95 and Y06 for her dress, and her mushroom in a blend of Y15, E35, and E09. Her wings are a blend of R12, Co and Y06, then covered with a glitter pen.

The large background was created with post-it tape, which I put over white paper in a plaid-like pattern, then sponged on fall color chalk inks. I bordered the image in olive green and two coordinating fall patterns, added gold mesh leaves trimmed with an oak leaf embellished with a gold rhinestone, and 2 small gold rhinestones on the image to balance.

I had fun working with this adorable stamp and hope you enjoy her!

Magnolia Challenge

I created this card for my Magnolia-Licious Yahoo Group's first sketch challenge.

I used Copic markers to color Tilda. I used a blend of dark pink (RV34) and carmine (R37) on her jacket and hat. Carmine on her boots and tights, a blend of olive (G99) and pale olive (YG95) on her shorts and socks. Her hair is a blend of chamois (E35), caramel (YR14), and dark bark (E49). I used a "Jelly Roll" clear glitter pen on her wings, and a white gel pen for the trim on her jacket and shorts, as well as her shoelaces.

I used cream card stock for the base of the card, mounted Tilda on red card stock, and then on patterned paper from a Christmas stack. I used coordinating pattern paper from the same Christmas stack in the corner, and I used red raffia instead of ribbon, and embellished with silver/rhinestone snowflakes. I used 4 clear rhinestone embellishments going down the side. The sentiment is a silver "Joy" embellishment, mounted on matching red card stock.

I hope you like her! I wanted to give her a real winter feel and I had fun making her!

Benched!

I just love this little Tilda - she's so versatile! This time I sat her on her bench. I colored Tilda and the bench with my Copic markers and mounted her on blue cardstock, and then mounted both onto a festive background cardstock, then embellished with two coordinating ribbons tied through a punch hole in the cardstock.

Gone Fishing

I created this card as a masculine birthday card - the recipient of this card would rather be fishing at his cabin in Vermont than anything else -- can't say I blame him (not the fishing, but relaxing by a lake sounds really nice to me!).

The fisherman is a "Sugar Nellie" stamp, which I colored in using Copic markers. I used the fish wheel from Stampin' Up on blue paper, cut it with a wave pattern. I went over the fish with a Spica glitter pen in orange/gold. I attached 2 "caught" fish on dimensionals on silver thread. I did the "gone fishing" sign freehand. I hope he likes it!

Jump Start on the Holidays!

As you can tell, I've been very busy and have a great time playing with my new stamps!
This Tilda is from the "Pink Collection" and I think she works very well for the holidays as well! I put her sitting on the ornament. She's done with Copic Markers and I used glitter Spica pens to accent her dress as well as the ornament. Hard to tell in the photo, but the ornament is all "a-glitter"! The Merry Wishes is from Stampin Up. I cut a scallop punch in the red paper, mounted in on a cream card, stamped the Merry Wishes on the cream. Then I used dimensionals to make Tilda stand out. Hope you like her!

Happy Birthday Tilda

It's my friend's birthday coming up this month, so I made this cute little card for her. It's Tilda with a bottle of red wine - ready to party! I used Copic markers to color the picture, framed it in dark brown and pale yellow, put it on a patterned orange/pale yellow print and then onto a burnt orange card and tied it all up with a pale yellow with burnt orange polka dots! The Happy Birthday stamp is from Stampin' Up and is colored with glitter Spica pens and mounted with dimensionals.

Masculine Birthday

I always find masculine cards a challenge. I made this one for a co-worker. I used Stampin' Up's "Classic Pickups" stamp. I colored the truck red and used a silver glitter Spica pen on the "chrome" accents. I used the ticket punch to edge all the pieces, framed the truck in red and then silver metallic paper. The sentiment tag was framed in red alone so the truck would be the focal point of the card. I then put it all on a houndstooth red/white paper on a red card.

I hope he likes it -- and I hope you like it, too!

My first challenge!

I created this card for my first challenge - the Magnolia v. Stampavie challenge.

I created this card using markers (the colors actually match in person). I used glitter paper in a paisley print for the background, and embellished with fabric flowers, pearl brads and rhinestones, and a sparkle snowflake. I hope you like it!

I'm going to a family reunion this weekend, and decided to bring a bottle of wine -- I created this little tag to go on the bottle. I think she's just perfect for the job! I did this one with colored pencils. I'm eager for my copic markers to arrive so I can start practicing with them....
